Keiichi Morisato
A hapless college student who was generally a doormat to everyone, until a wrong number connected him to the Goddess Helpline and Belldandy. Though he can’t believe it, Belldandy agreed to spend the rest of his life with him and that’s just what they are doing. Of course, Keiichi didn’t realize that eventually her two sisters would move in. Or that demons would start attacking. But Keiichi has a truly good heart and loves Belldandy for herself, not her incredible powers. He’s pretty handy with motorcycles and other vehicles and his racing skills are improving. Maybe one day he’ll actually have the confidence to KISS Belldandy… or not.
Belldandy
First Class, Second Category, Unlimited License. Belldandy answered Keiichi’s phone call to the Goddess Helpline and granted his wish that a goddess like her stay with him forever. However, it becomes really apparent that she’s perfectly willing to do this and in fact, enjoys living on Earth with Keiichi. Belldandy is an incredibly powerful Goddess, so powerful in fact, that she wear limiters to keep her powers in check. But she is so trusted by the Almighty One that she has an Unrestricted license. Belldandy is the sweetest, kindest, nicest being EVER. There is nothing she won’t do to help someone in need. Not that she can’t get angry. She just does it subtly… it’s scary. Belldandy is completely in love with Keiichi, though it’s also doubtful she’ll ever figure out she should kiss him.
Urd
Goddess Second Class, Administrative, Limited License, Belldandy’s older half-sister. Urd may have embraced her Goddess nature, but her half-demon blood always seems to be just under the surface ready to cause trouble. A voluptuous beauty who isn’t afraid to use her assets to get what she wants, Urd’s basic goal on Earth is to get Keiichi and Belldandy to DO SOMETHING. (Clearly they need help.) She has a knack for making potions that do all sorts of strange things, though often not what they are supposed to when little sister Skuld gets involved. But above all, Urd wants to protect her little sisters. Though the ends may not justify her means!
Skuld
Goddess Second Class, First Category, Limited License. Belldandy’s younger sister. Skuld is a much younger Goddess so her powers aren’t foully developed yet, but she’s a mechanical genius, able to create just about anything she can think of. (Though sometimes she uses parts for Keiichi’s bike to do it!) Skuld was an administrator for Yggdrasil, but transferred to Earth for “training.” Actually it was more that she couldn’t take the thought of her beloved Big Sister (that would be Belldandy) being stolen away by Keiichi. As a result she’s forever interfering trying to keep the two from getting closer. It’s not that she doesn’t like Keiichi (in fact she may like him a lot). It’s just that Belldandy is HERS! She and Urd have a love/hate relationship, as they are far more alike than either wants to admit.
Megumi Morisato
Keiichi’s younger sister. To his chagrin, she moved into town and started attending the same college as him! (But she had the good sense to not move in with Keiichi and Belldandy!) Megumi shares a lot of her brother’s affinity for the mechanical and vehicular and is a pretty skilled mechanic (this leads to a rivalry with Skuld). She can play the part of the bratty younger sister when it suits her, but mostly, she loves her older brother and wants him to be happy with Belldandy.
Sayoko Mishima
Rich, well connected, beautiful, intelligent, Sayoko ruled as Campus Queen. All women envied her. All men wanted her. And she could blow them off with impunity. Until Belldandy came to town. Sweet Belldandy has destroyed her position as Campus Queen, and since no one can be that innocent, it had to be on purpose and Belldandy has to pay. Unfortunately for Sayoko, that hasn’t worked so far as Belldandy is unflappable, Keiichi has proven unseduceable and even making deals with demons has only caused more problems. Poor little rich girl!
Sora Hasegawa
This shy college student is shockingly the only female member of the Auto Club! Sora’s good with mechanics and a hard worker, but her lack of confidence keeps her down. (Not to mention she’s not likely to stand out in a club fronted by the loud and crazy Tamiya and Otaki!) But with friends like Belldandy and Keiichi, Sora’s finally learning to branch out and stand on her own.
Toshiyuki Aoshima
Much like Sayoko was the queen of the school, Aoshima was something of a king. A very rich playboy, he could have any woman he wanted, and he did… till Belldandy came along. And he doesn’t take rejection well! However his schemes typically backfire, and often result in a heaping of Urd’s “punishment.” Oh, did we mention he and Sayoko are cousins? It explains a lot.
