REVIEW:
This anime offers you cuteness, love, devotion, and lots of wiggles-n-giggles! A continuous onslaught of hilarity only found with the chaos of love.

What does this show have to offer you ask? Read on?

▪ An army of catgirls whose only desire is to serve their princess? Yes!
▪ A bathhouse full of buxom bathing beauties from this planet and the next? You betcha!
▪ A dedicated guy striving to carry on the family business? Yup!
▪ A sexy and intelligent alien princess whose good intentions results in enthusiastic chaos for our guy? Of course! Our show wouldn?t be complete without it.

Princess Valkyrie, a.k.a. Val, is an alien princess from the planet Valhalla. Her spaceship crash lands on top of Kazuto Tokino?s family bathhouse. Kazuto Tokino wants to rebuild the family bathhouse into a successful business with interplanetary clientele. When she finds Kazuto, Princess Valkyrie gives him the most precious thing a girl could ever give a man. (Oh my!) After this encounter, Kazuto?s life becomes crazier with each passing second. Valkyrie wants to stay with Kazuto. Kazuto takes in Valkyrie. However, the Valhallans want their princess back. In fact, some Valhallans will go through some of the most creative tactics to get her back. Guess who keeps getting caught in the middle?

This show is of youthful shoujo style animation. The music is catchy and sweet. In the four episodes on this DVD, we are introduced to our alien princess, why she is on earth, why she is in the condition she is, and why she is living with Kazuto. Now?when you first watch this volume, you may think that the episodes are out of sequence. That?s what I thought at first. According to the Valkyrie World Notes, this was done on purpose. It is also noted that the first episode would have actually occurred after episode 5 in the time line. After reading this, things made a little more sense. However, I still would have preferred that episode 1 would have occurred at least after episode 4.

Greg Ayres does an excellent job portraying Kazuto Tokino and matching his emotions to the expressions on his face. Kira Vincent-Davis utilizes and impresses us with the range of her voice talent between our child and mature Princess Valkyrie.

EXTRAS:
Original Japanese Commercials, Message from the Japanese Voice Actors, Valkyrie World Notes, Valkyrie Character Notes, Video Jukebox, Reversible Cover, Clean Open/Close

IN SUMMARY:
All in all, I found this show to be cute and funny. It had me on my couch curling up and laughing out loud. I recommend this series to anyone who likes sexy, cute and chaotic shows with a good dash of fan service. I look forward to the next volume of UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie!
