"Packed with a healthy dose of comedy, mystery and action around every corner"

"What Cyber Team in Akihabara brings to the table is a genuinely good time with lots of laughs."

Cyber Team in Akihabara is the madcap story of Hibari Hanakogane, a typical young girl who finds herself caught up in not so typical adventures. Together with her friends and their odd little pets named Pata-Pi, Habari will soon learn that junior high school is not the only thing she will have to overcome!

Hibari Hanakoganei is just your average girl entering into junior high, obsessed with her friends and with the need to own the latest gadgets. The latest craze around are cute pets named Pata-Pi that you must raise and care for and upgrade.

When Hibari finally gets a Pata-Pi of her very own, through what might be best described as supernatural circumstances, she soon finds herself face to face with some unorthodox villains determined to steal her Pata-Pi of all things! Trapped in a desperate situation, Hibari somehow manages to summon a mysterious being, known only as a Diva, through her Pata-Pi to fight her battles. What is this hidden power hidden in the Pata-Pi and what is this Diva and why does it look like an older version of Hibari?

Packed with a healthy dose of comedy, mystery and action around every corner, Cyber Team in Akihabara boasts a quirky cast of characters, from the super-polite Suzume (Hibari?s best friend), to the over-dramatic and ridiculously large-breasted Blood Falcon who seeks to steal Hibari?s Pata-Pi in the name of? love?! Let?s not forget the dirty old man who seems to appear at the most opportune moment with his critique of the day on the underwear Hibari and her friends wear?oh?and he manages to toss in a helpful bit of information now and then.

The animation here is straight forward and in classic style with big eyes and super-short skirts. Each character?s emotional state is expressed through animation effects that we have ground used to in classic style anime like that of Sailor Moon.

The soundtrack is very upbeat and themed with catchy pop songs that are sure to implant themselves in your head. The music does become quite repetitive, and I promise you will catch yourself humming or whistling these tunes when you least expect it.

The cast of characters are all voiced well and none can be said to be out of place in anyway. That sometimes high-pitched and borderline annoying sound we all know as schoolgirl chatter is ever-present and the unmistakable voice acting of Tiffany Grant in the super-polite role of Suzume helps make Cyber Team in Akihabara an enjoyable experience that it does!

If you are looking for a serious Anime title with profound social commentary hidden beneath the surface, this is not the title for you. What Cyber Team in Akihabara brings to the table is a genuinely good time with lots of laughs. If that?s what interests you , then I recommend Cyber Team in Akihabara and I look forward to learning the secrets of the Pata-Pi and the Divas.
