ADV Films Announces 2009: Lost Memories
HOUSTON, October 6, 2004- ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime in the U.S., today announced a November 2, 2004 release date for the Korean live-action sci-fi feature film 2009: Lost Memories.
Coming from the cinematic hotbed of South Korea, 2009: Lost Memories stars two of Korea?s hottest stars, Jang Dong-Geun and Toru Nakamura. Riveting science fiction and tense political intrigue collide in this fast-paced, romanticized thriller that questions the essence of reality and explores the complexities of human nature. This mega-budget motion picture is one of the top ten highest grossing Korean films and is proof positive that Asian cinema is being redefined by talented Korean filmmakers like director Lee Si Myung.
J.B.I. agent Masayuki Sakamoto uncovers a web of intrigue during a routine investigation of an attack upon a museum displaying ancient cultural artifacts. Clues from the museum lead Sakamoto to an underground band of freedom fighters willing to risk everything to acquire an ancient relic known as the ?Lunar Soul?. As Sakamoto unravels the mystery, everything he ever knew about the world he lives in will be turned inside out.
2009: Lost Memories (SRP $19.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release including a 175 minute feature presented in anamorphic video format with audio in both English 5.1 and Korean 5.1 language versions, with English subtitles. Extras include the original Korean film trailer, a production video diary, and ADV Films previews.
