Tetsunosuke Ichimura (Tetsu) ? Voiced by Luci Christian - Tetsu is 15, but looks like he?s 10. He?s a young hothead bent on revenge for the death of his parents, though he really has no idea what that revenge entails. He speaks standard Japanese, like a kid acting tough.

Tatsunosuke Ichimura (Tatsu) ? Voiced by Vic Mignonga - Tatsu is Tetsu?s more responsible older brother. He is constantly plagued by his younger brother?s recklessness. He is a young man who speaks normal, standard Japanese.

Tetsu & Tatsu?s Father (Ichimura) ? Voiced by Mike Vance - Seen only in flashbacks, Ichimura appears to have traveled overseas and brought a lot of foreign ideas and words back with him. He constantly peppers his speech with English which most Japanese wouldn?t readily understand. ?Peacemaker? is one such word, and he tells Tetsunosuke to become a Peacemaker. A middle age man who speaks standard Japanese with a lot of odd English mixed in.

Isami Kondo (Mr. Kondo) ? Voiced by John Swasey - An adult man, he is the historical leader of the Shinsengumi. A somewhat jolly guy, he speaks standard Japanese.

Saizo ? Voiced by Monica Rial - A piglet who is Souji?s pet. Saizo always looks pissed off. He oinks irately.

Saya ? Voiced by Monica Rial - An apparently mute girl of approximately 15 years of age. Her parents were also killed, so Tetsu tends to relate to her and protect her. She writes in the sand to communicate.

Sanosuke Harada ? Voiced by Jason Douglas - The historical captain of Shinsengumi Unit 10. He is a young, generally rough man who speaks standard Japanese.

Shinpachi Nagakura ? Voiced by Greg Ayres - The historical captain of Shinsengumi Unit 2. He is a young, generally rough man who speaks standard Japanese.

Souji Okita Voiced by Braden Hunt - Another historical character, he was the caption of Shinsengumi Unit 1. He was known for his small, almost womanly frame and for his tendency to be something of a madman when it came to killing. He died of tuberculosis, and is already ill when the story begins. A young man, he is polite and mild, speaking standard, is occasionally effeminate Japanese.

Susumu Yamazaki ? Voice by Chris Patton - A spy for the Shinsengumi who does not live by the warrior code. He is VERY good at disguise. He normally speaks with a Kyoto accent, but when speaking to his superiors, he is very formal and has no accent.

Ayumu Yamazaki ? Voiced by Christine Auten - A young woman, she is Susumu?s older sister. She is something of a housekeeper for the Shinsengumi training hall. She is friendly and speaks with a Kyoto accent.

Suzu Kitamura ? Voiced by Kevin Corn - Suzu is Tetsu?s counterpart on the Loyalist side. He?s very dedicated to his master, Yoshida. He is about the same age as Tetsu and speaks standard Japanese.

Toshizo Hijikata (Toshi) ? Voiced by Mike MacRae - He is the historical deputy commander of the Shinsengumi. He was known for being strict and rather harsh. His nickname, ?The Demon of the Shinsengumi? is also historical. He is an adult man who speaks hard, curt Japanese.

Hajime Saito ? Voiced by Rob Mungle - The historical caption of Shinsengumi Unit 3. Historically, he survived the Restoration and became a police officer. He was one of the best in the Shinsengumi. Speaks in standard Japanese, but in a creepy, monotonous tone that makes it hard to read his emotions.

Toshimaro Yoshida ? Voiced by John Gremillion - An important historical character on the side of the Loyalists. He speaks Japanese which is cold, but otherwise standard.
