ADV Films Announces Release Dates for Angleic Layer: Inherit the Layer and Legend of the Mystical Ninja: Love is a Powerful Weapon

ADV Films today announced a May 4, 2004 street date for the DVD release of the sixth volume of Angelic Layer: Inherit the Layer. Angelic Layer is a shonen anime created by the all-female studio CLAMP (Chobits, Rayearth, Tokyo Babylon). Angelic Layer is beautifully animated by the super-talented team at BONES, the animators of the highly acclaimed RahXephon and Wolf?s Rain.

The Story

With the finals well underway, Misaki and friends decide to take a well-deserved break at the beach, but Icchan and his group are there, too. A secret love is revealed, and new loves bloom as the whole gang takes a break from the stress of the tournament at the seaside.

The time has come for two players to qualify for the championship match, while the rest get left behind. Find out who will sit in the stands, and who will get the chance to Inherit the Layer!

Angelic Layer: Inherit the Layer (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release, including three complete episodes in both English 5.1- and Japanese 2.0-language versions, with English subtitles. ADV Films today announced a May 4, 2004 street date for Legend of the Mystical Ninja: Love is a Powerful Weapon, the fourth volume of the zany anime tie-in to the immensely popular Nintendo video game from Japanese game-maker Konami.

The Story

Goemon and Mudanashi have blasted each other with all kinds of firepower, from giant bazookas to oversized vacuum cleaners. The arms race has escalated, the guns keep getting bigger, but the heroes and villains keep coming back for more. What possible weapon could bring these super-beings to their knees?
