Ban ? Rich McDonald (ADV Debut) - Ban is one of the two main characters he is one-half of the Get Backers. He's approx. 18 years old. He generally goes for a ?cool? personality. He's a highly talented fighter with a 200-kilogram-force grip which he uses to administer a neck-grabbing attack called the Snakebite. He is also capable of showing people one-minute-long illusions by making eye contact with them (but never the same person twice in 24 hours and only three times total per day); this is referred to as the Jagan. He has a lot of pride and is obsessed with money which he never has. He is extremely fond of his car but never pays for parking resulting in its always being towed. He has a sixth sense for when Ginji is in trouble and drops everything to help. He is excellent at reading people and highly perceptive.

Ginji ? J. Shanon Weaver (Samurai X Soul Hunter) - Ginji is the other half of the GetBackers and is also approx. 18 years old. He is the former leader of a youth gang called VOLTS which ruled the lower level of the Limitless Fortress a dangerous area of Shinjuku abandoned by the government and the outside world. At that time he was known as the Lightning Emperor due to his ability to generate electricity within his own body and to use that fearsome power in conflict. Now that he lives outside the Limitless Fortress he still has his electrical abilities but they are only at their peak when he is inside the Limitless Fortress. His everyday manner is cheerful emotive and effusive; and he is also generally considered the more clueless of the two. However in the rare moments when he becomes serious he is perceptive intelligent and focused.

Hevn ? Ellie McBride (Sakura Wars Tekken) - Hevn is a beautiful large-breasted mediator who acts as middleman and brings job offers to the GetBackers and others. The GetBackers always reap woe from jobs she brings them so they often attempt to escape when they see her coming. She is a mysterious figure whose connections are seemingly endless.

Paul ? Corey Gagne (Samurai X Nadia) - Paul is the owner of the Honky Tonk café he is almost universally called ?Master? (as in ?master of the shop?). Ban calls him a jack-of-all-trades and he runs a research / information network on the side. He allows Ban and Ginji to run a tab at his shop although he grumbles about it. The classic wise looker-on type he tends to dispense commentary from behind the newspaper he is perpetually reading.

Natsumi ? Kelly Dealyn (Sakura Wars OVA 1) - Natsumi is a high school girl with a single parent (her mother died when she entered high school). She loves cats and has a cat photo collection on her cell phone. She makes friends with the Get Backers when they recover a gift from her mother in the first episode.She is usually cheerful unaffected and quick to feel sympathy but she has a strong will and can at times be stern.

Himiko ? Deanna Shoemaker (ADV Debut) - Himiko was once a three-person team with her older brother and Ban but she now hates Ban. She is a famous transporter and master of seven inhalant poisons which she uses to fight with; she is therefore nicknamed ?Lady Poison?. Her chronological age is 16 but due to her life circumstances she is in some ways much older.

Akabane ? Shannon McCormick (ADV Debut) - Akabane is an extremely skilled fighter who enjoys fighting killing and blood. He shows no mercy to his opponents. He is a transporter who does his job only because he enjoys the carnage it often affords. His greatest desire is to test his skills to their limits since he wants to know what they are. A somewhat mysterious figure who seems to be laughing at everyone.

Maguruma ? Sam Ray (ADV Debut) - Maguruma is nicknamed ?Mr. No Brakes.? He is a famous transporter who doesn?t brake until his destination no matter how dangerous the situation. A man of few words.

Shido ? Omar Gallaga (ADV Debut) - Shido is perceptive and intelligent but he has no perceptible social skills. His power is mainly in his ability to communicate with animals and their willingness to do his bidding. He also in general considers animals rather than humans to be his friends and companions with a few exceptions.

Makubex ? Andrea Skola (ADV Debut) - Makubex was found by the side of the road as a baby in a bag that said ?Makube?; this was presumed to be his last name. The ?x? at the end of ?Makubex? was added to symbolize his lack of given name. A brilliant computer genius and compulsive calculator of everything.
