RELEASE DATE SET FOR GENE RODDENBERRY?S ANDROMEDA VOLUME 1.5

MARCH 18 2003 RELEASE FOR FIFTH VOLUME OF SEASON ONE OF TRIBUNE ENTERTAINMENT?S HIT TELEVISION SERIES

- ADV Films has set a street date of March 18 2003 for the release of Gene Roddenberry?s Andromeda Volume 1.5 the fifth home video release of the first season of the top-rated nationally syndicated weekly sci-fi/action program Gene Roddenberry?s Andromeda starring Kevin Sorbo. ADV is releasing both DVD and VHS versions of the title.

Gene Roddenberry?s Andromeda boasts a large devoted fan base and is proving to be a prolific source for merchandising licenses with action figures apparel trading cards calendars and other items being produced by top manufacturers. Moreover Kevin Sorbo was recently named one of the ten most bankable stars in national syndication for the second year in a row.

Gene Roddenberry?s Andromeda is based on writings of the legendary writer and producer Gene Roddenberry creator of the enormously successful ?Star Trek? series franchise. The series is produced by Andromeda Productions Ltd. in association with Tribune Entertainment Company and Fireworks Entertainment Inc.

?The Honey Offering? - Episode 119
Dylan agrees to transport a beautiful and conceited Nietzschean Elssbett Mossadim to her wedding. When the Andromeda is surrounded by warships of an enemy Nietzschean pride Elssbett reveals her violent plan of assassination and destruction.

?Star-Crossed? - Episode 120
A passenger ship is destroyed by terrorists leaving a sole survivor - an android named Gabriel. Rommie is immediately attracted when he?s brought on board and she falls in love. But soon Gabriel?s true identity is uncovered: he is not a friend and not a survivor instead he is? the ultimate enemy.

?It Makes a Lovely Light? - Episode 121
Beka puts the crew and the Andromeda in danger by taking the mind-altering drug ?Flash? during an exhausting mission to Tarn Vedra Dylan?s lost home. She?s an addict and Dylan must decide how to handle the situation which grows more desperate by the minute.

?Its Hour Come ?Round at Last? - Episode 122
During routine repairs Andromeda?s memory is wiped out and replaced by an older backup AI who believes the current crew are intruders. Dylan and the crew can no longer control their ship - it now controls them. Suddenly an attack begins and thousands of bloodthirsty Magog are onboard. Is there any way to escape?

Gene Roddenberry?s Andromeda Volume 1.5 ($39.98 SRP DVD $19.98 SRP VHS) contains four complete episodes of the hit series.
