?ADV Films today announced a July 15 2003 release date for Sailor Moon: Season One Uncut a huge DVD collection of the uncensored original source material for the breakout U.S. hit children?s hit Sailor Moon. In this English-subtitled Japanese-language release ADV Films has returned to the original masters which include mature content that was excised from the U.S. children?s release and the original graphic title treatment. The result is a far more sophisticated series with significantly broadened appeal for mature anime fans. The release (46 episodes over 1000 minutes total running time) is on eight DVDs in two cases which are in turn packaged in a handsome high-quality (?hard?) foil-stamped custom art box.

The first season of Sailor Moon was directed by noted anime fantasy creator Junichi Sato (creator of the forthcoming ADV co-production Kaleido Star) with character designs by Kazuko Tadano (Wedding Peach).

The Story:
Based on a manga by Naoko Takeuchi Sailor Moon is the story of a teenage girl who meets a magical cat who gives her super powers. She becomes the leader of a team of brave girls known as the Sailor Warriors. Sailor Moon has long been justifiably renowned for the strength of its plot its direct and honest treatment of romance and in this uncut version a realistic and unflinching acceptance of death as a necessary possible consequence of a righteous fight.

Sailor Moon: Season One Uncut (SRP $149.98) is a DVD-only release including 46 complete episodes on eight DVDs. In Japanese with English subtitles. DVDs in two four-disc cases packed in turn in a high-quality (?hard?) foil-stamped custom art box. Includes a printed episode guide and ADV previews.

?ADV Films today announced a July 15 2003 release date for Aura Battler Dunbine: Tales of Byston Well the first volume of the 49-episode anime classic.

First broadcast in Japan in the mid 1980?s Aura Battler Dunbine is widely considered one of the finest and most significant titles from the ?golden age? of televised anime. Conceived by Yoshiyuki Tomino (creator and director of Gundam) and based on Tomino?s novel Wings of Lin Aura Battler Dunbine has long been celebrated not only for its exciting plot and extraordinary mecha designs (by Studio Nue of Macross fame) but also for the series? emphasis on strong and detailed characterization and the consistently excellent quality of its animation (produced by Sunrise Animation).

As befits the title?s extraordinary production pedigree Aura Battler Dunbine is a rich and complex tale mingling a fantasy-inspired setting with an anachronistic blend of technologies and spicing the mixture with extensive elements sourced from ancient folklore of the British Isles. In the last case series producer Carl Macek (ROBOTECH) has done extensive research to bring into focus mythological elements of the story in particular those centered on the fairy mythology.

The Story:
Welcome to Byston Well a world that exists in the spaces between sea and land. The only way to get there from here is through the Aura Road which few can open. ?ADV Films today announced a July 15 2003 release date for Eden?s Bowy: Hot Pursuit second volume of the acclaimed anime fantasy series noted for its multilayered complexity and its ability to appeal to a wide range of anime fans. Eden?s Bowy is based on a manga by Tennoji Kitsune and was directed by Tsukasa Sunaga (Southern Cross) with character designs by Kazui Hiroko (Ranma ½ Oh! My Goddess!).

The Story:
