Comic Publishers Unite to Promote Free Comic Book Day

Everyone knows how important it is for children to start reading at a young age. But did you know one of the easiest ways to spark a child's interest in reading is through comic books? That's just one of the reasons why comic book publishers across the country have banded together for Free Comic Book Day on May 4th.

Each publisher participating in this event is offering a special ""Free Comic Book Day Edition"" of a previously released comic. Just stop by a participating comic book specialty shop that Saturday and pick up your free comics. You can keep them for yourself or pass them along to a youngster and get them hooked on the magic of reading.
