ADV Films Announces Acquisition of Five Titles at Anime Central

ADV Films gave fans that attended their panel at Anime Central in Chicago today a special treat when they officially announced the acquisition of the anime titles Noir Full Metal Panic Najica Angelic Layer and Mazinkaizer.

Noir is the story of two beautiful young women bound together by a common past neither can remember. One is a sexy assassin. The other a young ingénue with a mysterious flair for violence. When they team up to uncover the hidden origins of their lives there aren?t enough bullets in the world to stop them. Noir is anchored by beautiful animation and a smooth soundtrack of techno-jazz music.

In Full Metal Panic a young soldier is sent undercover as a high school student to bodyguard a young girl with access to a mysterious technology. But can a soldier trained in the art of war adjust to a society at peace?

With 17% of the Earth?s surface submerged in water perfumier by day/secret agent by night Najica Hiragi uses her uncanny ability to recognize and classify over 500 different smells to build her cosmetic empire and fight the world?s criminal and terrorist element. Angelic Layer is the gorgeous new anime based on the popular manga by renowned creators CLAMP (Miyuki-chan in Wonderland Card Captors). In Angelic Layer young people use telepathy to control and battle customizable dolls called ?Angels? in arenas called ?Layers.? After witnessing such a battle between two Angels a young girl becomes absorbed into the Angels? competitive world and sets out to become a top Angelic Layer combatant.

Mazinkaizer marks the return to the world of the legendary giant fighting mecha Mazinger. This time Great Mazinger teams up with Mazinkaizer to battle the evil forces of Doctor Hell and Baron Ashura.
