Anime Central Update
This past weekend ADV and Suncoast teamed up again to bring the fans some anime goodness at
Anime Central in Chicago. Man what a great time we had. The Suncoast people were
AWESOME and helped us make a big splash at the show. We gave away a bunch of great posters and also handed out a load of our spiffy new catalogs. And in case you were wondering yes those are the lovely girls from
Noir making an appearance on the cover. While at ACEN the ADV team got the chance to meet some really great people and tell them about some of the fun things that are going on here in ADV Land. At Saturday's panel we cleared up our stance on
Noir sending the room into a frenzy of ?Hooray!?s. New acquisitions
Full Metal Panic Najica Angelic Layer and
Mazinkaizer were also received by massive praise. After Matt Greenfield and David Williams ran through the new acquisitions list David decided to whet the attendee's appetites with a little bit of the
Excel Saga disc. WOAH! The crowd went nuts! They absolutely loved the A.D. Vid-notes
tm feature. I think both Matt and David deserve a lot of credit for making this disc the best it could be. Check out an early review of
Excel courtesy of
Anime Jump. Later on Saturday ADV and Suncoast sponsored the ACEN Masquerade. Man there were some seriously cool costumes and skits going on there. ADV and Suncoast were proud to present the winners of both the ""Best Costume"" and ""Best Skit"" categories with DVD players. Way to go folks! Hope to see you there next year.
This coming weekend David and I will be at
SakuraCon in Seattle while Matt and Tiffany Grant (who by the way announced their engagement at ACEN ? congrats!) will be in attendance at
Fanime in San Jose CA. If you see us come say ""Hi"" - we love to meet our fans!
Best Wishes
