A-KON ACQUISITION ANNOUNCEMENTS!
Matt Greenfield and D.L. Williams strapped on their Ray-Bans and hightailed it north to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex for A-KON this weekend. The ADV Films panel was held this morning and true to form Messieurs Greenfield and Williams had a couple of exciting new ADV Films acquisitions to announce:
Aquarian Age A 13-episode series first broadcast in Japan in 2002 Aquarian Age is a adventure/romance title directed by Yoshimitsu Ohashi (
Galaxy Angel). Our protagonist is in a band so as you?d expect there?s lots of terrific music.
Aquarian Age is loosely based on a role-playing trading-card game from Broccoli; Broccoli Madhouse TV Tokyo and Victor Entertainment share producing credits.
Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat Comprised of 48 six-minute episodes
Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat is the intensely cute prequel to the TV series
Di Gi Charat.
Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat is a broadly-structured comic tale of an otherworldly young princess named Dejiko who devotes her time to making people happy. A cast of friends and other characters are along for the ride of course. Throughout the title the emphasis is on great fun and on an ever-growing series of inside jokes.
No release plans for these titles have been made public as yet. Stay tuned to this website for updates!
