ANIME NETWORK TO EXHIBIT AT NATPE
Emerging Network Taps Into Convention?s Cable & International Attendees Houston TX September 2 2003?The Anime Network the first channel in the nation dedicated to anime will be exhibiting alongside sister company ADV Films at the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) in Las Vegas January 18-20 2004. The announcement was made today by Kevin Corcoran President of Anime Network.
As NATPE organizers move forward with plans for the January event the Anime Network is looking forward to demonstrating the growing popularity of anime programming to the gathering?s cable and international attendees. Debuting the Anime Network on the NATPE Exhibition floor says Corcoran ?is an excellent opportunity to inform the global television community as to the growing demand for this unique style of animation programming. By partnering with the distribution arm ADV Films we can also show potential partners the synergy and cross-platform marketing advantages that Anime Network brings to the negotiation table.?
?With NBC and Sony ready to rejoin the exhibition floor we believe this convention in Las Vegas will be a vibrant platform for launching new programming services as well as a great place for buyers and sellers to meet and preview new program acquisitions"" adds Corcoran.
Anime Network is currently available as part of RCN?s and Comcast Cable?s FVOD services available to approximately 2.2 million subscribers. Anime Network?s programming is also available through SVOD on Cablevision Systems Corporation?s iO: Interactive Optimum digital programming service. In September Anime Network will provide high def programming to iN DEMAND?s INHD and INHD2 subscribers.
Anime Network?s sister company ADV Films will be bringing its extensive library of anime programming titles and live action sci-fi dramas to NATPE including such popular series as Final Fantasy: Unlimited Saint Seiya Farscape and Mutant X.
