Farscape DVDs Go to Navy Liberty Centers

ADV FILMS AND ?WATCH FARSCAPE? PROVIDE SCI-FI SERIES TO NAVY MWR LIBERTY CENTERS
HOUSTON December 2 2003? Sailors who follow the science-fiction television series ?Farscape? will soon be able to watch their favorite episodes at Liberty (Single Sailor) Centers Navy-wide. Navy Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Division recently signed a commercial sponsorship agreement with ADV Films and ?Watch Farscape? a fan-based organization that will provide a box set of ?Farscape? episodes to every Navy Liberty Center across the world in support of Navy MWR?s Liberty Program.
?Each box set includes 11 DVDs with more than 20 hours of Farscape episodes which will be made available for free viewing by Sailors using Liberty Program facilities. The DVDs should be received by field activities within the next couple of weeks? explained Bill Winters head of the Special Projects and Programs Section for Navy MWR.
?All the men and women of the armed forces have given so much of themselves to protect our nation and making these DVDs available to Sailors at Liberty Centers through commercial sponsorship with Navy MWR is a great way for our company to support their efforts and provide a little distraction during the holiday season? said Lauren Kelly Director of Marketing for ADV Films. ?Everyone here at ADV Films is thankful to have this opportunity and we're all looking forward to working with Navy MWR again in the future.?
Commercial sponsorship is an authorized way for Navy MWR activities to offset the cost of programs and services. Sponsorship is received in the form of in-kind services and financial support in exchange for public recognition advertising consideration and/or product promotion at MWR events.
