FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RELEASE DATE SET FOR HAPPY LESSON
FIRST VOLUME OF BRIGHT ROMANTIC COMEDY TO BE AVAILABLE IN STORES FEBRUARY 3 2004
HOUSTON December 19 2003-ADV Films has set a street date of February 3 2004 for the DVD release of
Happy Lesson: Mom-Ageddon the first volume of the light-hearted laugh-out-loud anime series that follows the beloved shounen tradition of Oh My Goddess! and Love Hina. Happy Lesson tells of Chitose a teenager who suddenly finds himself surrounded by a bevy of beauties. But these ladies aren?t vying for Chitose?s romantic affection-they all want to be his mother!
What teenage boy wouldn?t want to spend his days surrounded by a pack of beautiful women? Chitose that?s who! He just moved out of the orphanage and back into his deceased parents? house. But instead of lounging around the ultimate bachelor pad he?s dodging discipline from his five new mothers! His high school teachers have adopted him and the only thing that overshadows their good looks is their near-psychotic maternal zeal.
Just look at what they?ve got in store for him. When Chitose starts failing his classes Mutsuki dons a sexy tutor outfit and beats the knowledge into him. Then Yayoi detects a spirit of misfortune inside Chitose?s body and decides to remove it-by force. And of course there are the contests in which his mothers compete to win Chitose like some kind of grand prize. How could any young guy hope to survive all this?
Happy Lesson was produced by KSS (Wedding Peach Oh My Goddess!) and directed by Akira Suzuki (Blue Submarine #6 MAZE).
Happy Lesson: Mom-Ageddon ($29.98 SRP) is a DVD-only release containing five complete episodes. It includes both English 5.1- and Japanese 2.0-language versions with English subtitles. DVD extras include: character sketches; clean opening and closing animation; a mini poster; a printed insert with character profiles and voice actress/actor interviews; and ADV Previews.
ADV FILMS SETS RELEASE DATE FOR LEGEND OF THE MYSTICAL NINJA: THE FIGHT FOR JUSTICE
SECOND VOLUME OF ANIME TIE-IN TO HIT VIDEO GAME TO BE AVAILABLE FEBRUARY 10 2004
HOUSTON December 19 2003-ADV Films today announced a street date of February 10 2004 for the
Legend of the Mystical Ninja: The Fight for Justice second volume of the zany anime tie-in to the immensely popular Nintendo video game from Japanese game-maker Konami. The Legend of the Mystical Ninja anime stays loyal to the colorful characters and wacky sense of humor that attracted so many to the game. Using a television as a portal the brightly coiffed Goemon hero of both the game and the series crosses from the game world to the human world to save humankind from an invasion of the video game world?s most undesirable citizens.
Goemon Ebisumaru Yae and the rest of the video game gang continue to fight to protect the human world and are constantly amazed at everyday things we humans take for granted. Tsukasa and his family and friends don?t quite understand what the big deal is. Things that we think are boring-riding the train camping and television-offer the evil master Seppukumaru more ways to wreak havoc on humans and fill the ?rage gauge? to unleash an endless stream of cyber monsters. If Seppukumaru and his minions the Four Tsugigiri can keep the rage index high enough Lord Makuamuuge can enter through the cyber-tunnel and rule the human world. But not if Goemon and friends can help it!
Legend of the Mystical Ninja: The Fight for Justice (SRP $19.98) includes five complete episodes. In both English 2.0-language version and Japanese 2.0-language version with English subtitles. Includes interviews with the English cast and ADV Previews.
