2003 Comic-Con Announcements
The ?What?s New at ADV? Panel at San Diego Comic-Con has just wrapped up; true to form it was a lively experience with ADV Co-Founder Senior Producer and VP of Production Matt Greenfield ring-leading the circus.
Matt reiterated the firm?s string of anime and manga acquisition announcements from Anime Expo including two of the anime surprises from Anaheim: ?Sister Princess? and ?Nurse Witch Komugi-Chan.? As a Comic-Con exclusive Matt announced the acquisition of ?Wandaba Style? a 13-episode series that only last month completed broadcast in Japan. It?s from studio TNK best known for ?Hand Maid May? and ?L/R.?
?Wandaba Style? is the story of a boy genius and his plan to travel to the moon without using rocket engines. The four-girl idol group Mix Juice is willing to try if it means they can have a concert on the moon. Coverage in the April 2003 issue of Newtype USA notes that ?Wandaba Style? is ?full of hard mecha gorgeous girls and racy jokes.? Sounds good to us?
