ADV in 2003 pt. 1

What a year 2003 was eh? Lots of stuff going on in the world. Here at ADV we?ve had probably our best year ever. As a special treat to all our fans over the next few days we?re going to take a look back at the past twelve months division by division. Let?s start out with?

NEWTYPE USA

· On April 8 2003 Newtype USA smashed circulation expectations with pre-orders for May 2003 exceeding 100000 units.
· On July 15 2003 Newtype USA won ?Best Anime Publication-North America? at Anime Expos 2003. The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA) award recognized Newtype USA?s preeminent position in the North American anime market.
· On October 20 2003 Newtype USA America?s #1 English-language anime and manga monthly celebrated its first year of publication.
