Jay Hickman: Houston Idol

ADV voice actor Jay Hickman (Excel Saga Gasaraki) wrote to us this morning to let us know about an interesting project he?s involved with this summer. Our local NBC affiliate KPRC Channel 2 is hosting a talent competition called ?Gimme the Mike!? Out of close to 750 hopeful Houstonians a pool of 25 talented superstars-in-waiting will battle it out each week starting August 7th with celebrity judges picking five contestants to advance to the finals to be held September 9th. One wild card winner to be chosen by fans in an online poll will also advance to the final round. From those six one winner will be chosen for superstardom! Jay will compete on the very first episode singing what's sure to be a rousing rendition of ""Mack the Knife"" so let?s all wish him luck!
