HOUSTON February 14 2003?ADV Films today officially announced a May 6 2003 release for RahXephon 2?Tonal Pattern second volume of the extraordinarily beautiful and complex anime series that captivated millions in Japan and has been released in the U.S. to a veritable storm of fan excitement. Please note that this title is a compression of the volume?s full title which is longer than most retailers? inventory software will permit. The complete title which is used on packaging is RahXephon?Orchestration Two: Tonal Pattern.
RahXephon was created and directed by Yutaka Izubuchi (Gasaraki the Gundam franchise) and produced by Bones (Angelic Layer) Victor Entertainment (Noir) and Fuji TV (Astro Boy Battle of the Planets). The RahXephon series debuted on Japanese TV in 2002 and became an immediate sensation with fierce action and the multilayered complexity of the plot and characters drawing in viewers by the tens of thousands.
The Story:
As the Mu launch a succession of attacks against the free world TERRA is forced to use their secret weapon the RahXephon despite the reluctance of its pilot. Lost in time and trapped in a world he thought had been destroyed Ayato must confront both a new wave of Dolem and his suspicions that he is only a pawn in a much larger game. The mysterious advances of the girl known as Quon and the reappearance of a supposedly dead friend are only a few of the many mysteries that must be unraveled in the second collection of RahXephon.
RahXephon 2 ? Tonal Pattern (SRP $29.98 DVD) includes both English- and Japanese-language versions with English subtitles. THIRD VOLUME OF SMASH-HIT ANIME SERIES TO BE AVAILABLE MAY 13 2003
HOUSTON February 14 2003?ADV Films today announced a release date of May 13 2003 for NOIR: The Firing Chamber the third DVD volume of the widely acclaimed anime thriller.
The series which premiered in Japan in 2001 was directed by Koichi Mashimo (Dirty Pair Dominion). The story:
